We are committed to developing our own professional development around mental health and wellbeing; this ensures we are up to date with the latest approaches. We have recently made links with the NHS Mental Health Support Team and are working closely with our link Educational Mental Health Practitioner – K Millington to develop Mental Health provision within the school, raise awareness of Mental Health among pupils, parents/carers and provide low intensity intervention to pupils.
The schools nominated Senior Mental Health Practitioner is Miss E Partridge.
We recognise the importance of developing a culture where ‘it’s ok not to be ok!’.

World Mental Health Day 2021
On Friday 4th October we celebrated World Mental Health Day. World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling. We took part in mindfulness activities and talked about our feelings and emotions and how to regulate them when we begin to struggle.
We dressed up as Mindfulness Superheroes and raised £110 for the YoungMinds charity. Here are Y3GP superheroes!
Scouts
We are so excited to have made links with the 2nd Wombridge Scouts Group. This partnership is valued as we believe that learning goes beyond the walls of the classroom and school.
They recently delivered a whole school assembly sharing information about how scouts can support young people with their personal development, empower and make a positive contributions to their society.
The leaders were fantastic and weaved the school values of L.E.A.D into there presentation. We are enthusiastic about working with the team to develop exciting opportunities for the children of Wombridge in future collaborations.

Emotional Health and Wellbeing
At Wombridge Primary School we believe that all children and staff should feel secure, valued and happy at school. We strive to ensure that children are supported in all aspects of emotional health and wellbeing and they know who they can talk to if they are feeling sad or worried.
We are committed to providing a supportive, caring and safe environment in which all children are free from the fear of being bullied. As a school we take bullying and its impact seriously.
Bullying behaviour is unacceptable in any form. The school has high expectations of outstanding behaviour.
Please see below the schools Anti-Bullying BUDDY code.
