Parents will know that Wombridge Primary School is always reluctant to close due to the weather because of the disruption it causes to families. There are however, times when closure is necessary due to health and safety considerations.
Should the school need to close we will send out a text message alert, via Dojo, and a message on the school website blog. The Telford and Wrekin website will also be updated. www.telford.gov.uk/schoolclosures
Every effort will be made to inform parents before 7.30 in the morning should school need to close for the day. In the event of a closure during the day we will keep children in school until collected by an appropriate adult. Children will not be sent home unaccompanied.
We ask that parents do not ring through to school enquiring about school closure. This blocks the school phone system for any crucial phone calls. Keep an eye out for the text and website.
