Gareth Harvey.

Gareth is a Local Authority Governor, this will be Gareth’s first term of office as a Governor. Gareth currently works for British Gymnastics as an Executive Director being responsible for Finance, Commercial Operations and Membership and Community Services.
Gareth has over 20 years’ experience in finance, commercial and governance. Gareth is passionate about continuous improvement and freeing ourselves from the status quo, designing our own future and with his “can do” attitude making them a reality.
Gareth is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Association of Accounting Technicians and Chartered Management Institute.

Derek Harper.

My name is Derek Harper and I have been a community Governor for over 10 years. I first became involved with Wombridge Primary School, when a class of pupils visited Morrells Wood Farm, to get involved with ‘Chef on the Farm’. Since then I have continued to host regular visits for all age groups.
As a family run farm, we have over 100 head of beef cattle, suckler cows and calves. I also own 9 self-catering holiday lets, consisting of barns and shepherds huts, together with a wedding and events business.

David Seaton – Chair of Governing Body

My name is David Seaton. I have now been a governor at Wombridge since 2018, starting as a parent governor with my daughter attending the school for six years. I am now the current Chair of governors and have held this position since the end of 2019.

 

Debbie Smith

My name Debbie Smith. I am the staff governor here at Wombridge Primary. This term of office will be my fourth, having been a governor at this school since I started teaching here. Previous to that I had been a governor at 2 other local school.
I have worked at Wombridge Primary since September 2005. Currently, I have responsibility for teaching Early Years which is a role that I really enjoy.
In addition to this teaching commitment, I am also the English lead and wellbeing lead.

Michelle Hutton

My name is Michelle Hutton. I am a governor at Wombridge Primary School and this term of office will be my fourth.
I have worked at Wombridge for 22 years when I first started as an NQT. I am now the Deputy Head Teacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead and SEN coordinator.
