Wombridge Primary School Vision

Children at school

‘Lead The Way To Life’ (LEAD: Learning Enjoyment Aspiration Determination)

Our vision is that our pupils learn to lead the way to life, aspiring and understanding that they can contribute to society by aiming for good qualifications which leads to a good job.
We see this vision at the heart of the relationships between everyone in the school community which is typically diverse, as is the case in most of modern urban Britain.

Wombridge’s Core Values

Child at schoolOur core values underpin everything we do at Wombridge Primary. They were carefully chosen by the staff, pupils, parents and governors in September 2010.
British Values
Wombridge Primary School supports British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs. We believe that this approach fully complements our ethos and values as a community primary school.
The school will promote these values through our everyday work, including through the PSHE and RE curriculum. This approach is supported by policies in school including the Behaviour Policy and Equality Policy.
The school will take part in specific activities to promote British values. The School Council is elected by the children and plays an active role in the decision making in the school. Children are encouraged to openly discuss thoughts and ideas, in class every day.
