World Book Day

The children and staff had a wonderful day celebrating reading during this year’s World Book Day. World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the first Thursday in March. On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK and the Republic of Ireland is provided with a voucher to be spent on books; the event was first celebrated in the United Kingdom in 1998.

Scout Takeover Day

On Wednesday 29th June, 2nd Wombridge Scouts took over our school. Activities included shooting, archery, fire lighting, toasting marshmallows, First Aid , Navigation skills, blind fold sandwich making and many more team building skills.

We also had many special visitors come to take part in the day including the Mayor of Oakengates and the Mayor of Telford- what an amazing day for Wombridge!!
