Apply for school place now

Parents and carers of children who are due to start primary or secondary school next September can now apply for their school place.

Children born between September 2022 and August 2023 will be due to start primary school in September next year (2027).

To ensure those children are allocated a school place, parents and carers must have applied to Telford & Wrekin Council by 15 January 2027.

Children born between September 2015 and August 2016 are due to start secondary school next year and parents and carers have until 31 October 2026 to apply for their school place.

Applications for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) should be submitted by 31 October 2026, regardless of whether they are starting primary or secondary education.

World Book Day

The children and staff had a wonderful day celebrating reading during this year’s World Book Day. World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the first Thursday in March. On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK and the Republic of Ireland is provided with a voucher to be spent on books; the event was first celebrated in the United Kingdom in 1998.
