Although the weather remains warm, it is much cooler than last week’s heatwave. We continue to have several measures in place to ensure that all children remain comfortable throughout the school day, including:
* Regular breaks.
* Access to Forest School.
* Shaded areas for learning and play.
* Cool classrooms with fans.
* Blinds lowered where appropriate to help keep classrooms cool.
* Plenty of hydration breaks and access to drinking water throughout the day.
The children and staff are coping really well. Teachers have even been allowing children to cool their feet in trays of water if they become too warm, which has been a great success!
To help everyone stay comfortable, we have also relaxed our uniform expectations this week. However, we would like to remind families that football shirts, cropped tops, strappy tops and cycling shorts are not appropriate for school.
We are also looking forward to our ice cream treat tomorrow, which we know the children are excited about.
A big thank you to everyone who has donated outgrown or unwanted school uniform. We really appreciate your generosity and support for our school community. The donated uniform will be available for families to help themselves to on Thursday. Thank you for helping us to recycle and reuse school uniform.
Finally, as you begin preparing for September, please remember to follow the expectations outlined in our school uniform policy when purchasing new school uniform and PE kit. You can find the policy using the link below.

Thank you for your continued support.
